This 98-foot motoryacht was built in aluminum at Palmer-Johnson, and was in many ways a development of the owners' previous Hunt yacht. Just as the earlier boat began life as a 61' and was stretched to 67', so this 98' began as an 85' and was similarly stretched.
A recent refit has transformed the arrangement, and it now features four comfortable double cabins, and a crew lounge/cabin under the after trunk. Because the engines are located aft driving through v-drive gearboxes the sole over the engine room is some three feet lower than in the afterdeck of a motoryacht of comparable size. The vessel is arranged so that each stairway, except the one to the flybridge, spans half a level only, so movement through the three major living spaces is easy. The multiple cabins and living spaces make the vessel ideal for cruising with family and friends.
Other distinctive features are a single helm station on the flybridge, an auxiliary machinery space doubling as a workshop, and the shoal draft made possible by propeller tunnels. Her conservative looks belie her speed-almost 29 knots. |
